Aim: To train the eye to the differences in dimensions by leading the child to concentrate their attention on these differences and comparing the various pieces. This material contains 4 blocks each containing 5 knobs. Each knob fits into the respective holes and are different in dimension. They go from thick to thin while the height remains the same . There are four different variations of the Knobbed Cylinders, allowing children to challenge different perceptions of preliminary mathematical concepts.
